Zonta Club of Ottawa’s 2015 International Women’s Day fundraiser took place on Thursday, March 5, 2015,from 6-8 pm, at Wall Space Gallery in Ottawa.

Objectives:

• To raise funds for ZCO’s local service programming and contributions to Zonta International Programs.
• To present our 2015 Bursaries to a new immigrant single mother who is enrolled in a college or university program.

Julie S. Lalonde, Guest Speaker

We were thrilled to have Julie S. Lalonde as our guest speaker. Among her many accomplishments, Julie is a recipient of the Governor General’s Youth Award in Commemoration of the Person’s Case and the founder of the Ottawa Hollaback! chapter.

Julie talked about her work to end violence against women in Ottawa and how she encourages women of all ages to take part in the anti-violence movement.
