Education Awards

Join us to honour our award winners and all their achievements, passions, and dreams they are pursuing.
Zonta Young Women in Leadership Award: This $800 CAD
award recognizes young women, ages 16-19, for demonstrating
leadership skills and commitment to public service and civic
causes. Our club’s awardee is eligible for consideration for an
international award worth USD $5,000. Closed March 15, 2026
Jean M. Coon Humanitarian Award: This $800 CAD award
recognizes a high school student who demonstrates
exceptional humanitarian community service. Our club’s
awardee becomes a finalist for a District award worth
USD $1,000. Closed March 15, 2026
New Immigrant Woman Award: This $1,000 CAD award
honours a newcomer who is a single mother, raising a family
while working on her own education at any level. Closed April 30, 2026
Zonta Women in Business Leadership Award: This $1000
CAD award is awarded annually to a woman pursuing an
undergraduate or master’s degree in business management at
a university in the National Capital Region, and Kingston,
Ontario. Our club’s awardee is eligible for consideration for an
international award worth USD $10,000. Closed July 25, 2025
ZCO CA and The Paulette Sinclair Memorial Theatre Arts Awards:
Two awards totalling $5000 CAD will be awarded for three years (2026-27-28)
to women in the National Capital Region who are
currently enrolled in a post-secondary theatre program. These
awards enable talented and qualified young women to achieve
their professional goals. Closed April 30, 2026
Zonta Women in STEM Award: This $1,000 CAD award is
open to women, aged 18-35 years at the time of application,
who demonstrate groundbreaking research, pioneering
discoveries, and/or exemplary contributions to advancing
knowledge and innovation in a science, technology, engineering
or mathematic (STEM) field of study or industry. Our club’s
awardee is eligible for consideration for an international
award worth USD $10,000. Closed September 25, 2025
